
Sarah Davids is the director of the ISU Children’s Chorus and has enjoyed this position for the past 17 years. The ISU Children’s Chorus is a community choir for children grades 3-8 and has had a dynamic presence in Southeast Idaho for 40 years as it has inspired many children to make music a part of their lives.
During Sarah’s tenure as director, the choir has performed with the ISU Choirs and the Idaho State Civic Symphony, the “Season of Note, Christmas with the Celts”, featured as a performing group at a State IMEA Music Conference, participated in a Children’s Choir Festival conducted by Rollo Dilworth, as well as many other ISU and community events. The group also tours and performs annually for local schools and received special recognition from the Mayor of Pocatello for Excellence in the Arts.
Prior to this, Sarah taught junior high and high school choir in Yakima, Washington for five years. She also enjoyed maintaining a private voice studio during that time.
Sarah Davids is a native of Pocatello, Idaho. She graduated from Idaho State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She is excited to be singing in the newly established ISU Alumni Chamber Choir, under the direction of Scott Anderson and is a mother to four awesome kids.
Sarah herself had the privilege of singing in honor choirs at the state and regional levels growing up, and is very excited to continue this beautiful circle and work with these young singers and their teachers this year. She hopes to help inspire the students in their love for singing, so that it can continue to be a positive force in their lives.
