Corbin Rasmussen teaches choir and handbell at Rigby High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in music education from BYU-Idaho. He has been a guest conductor/clinician both locally and abroad. In 2016, he traveled to Beijing, China as a special guest clinician to help teach choral music to Chinese students. In 2022, he traveled to Ghana, Africa with a BYU-Idaho alumni choir, working with the Kumasi Evangel Choir of Ghana for their ten-year anniversary concert. In January 2025, he will be traveling to Singapore to perform a concert with the Ministry of Bellz, Singapore’s premiere handbell ensemble. His choral and handbell students have also traveled throughout the country with performances in Seattle, Anaheim, New York City, , Phoenix, Orlando, Nashville, Dallas, Hartford, and Ensenada, Mexico. His choral and handbell ensembles regularly earn superior ratings at regional and non-regional festivals. He and his wife recently founded the East Idaho Youth Chorus, a community youth choir whose goal is to give the youth of this area an excellent choral experience. For the past 11 years, he has been the Artistic Director of the Eastern Idaho Chorale, one of the most popular community choirs in the greater Idaho Falls area. He also serves as the Area 10 Chair-Elect for Handbell Musicians of America. When he isn’t conducting, performing, or teaching, he enjoys playing and expanding his collection of board games, and spending time with his wife and four children.
